Starting in 1983 the United States Mint produced a 90% Silver commemorative dollars that have the same silver content of the much earlier Morgan and Peace Dollars.  These dollars can be purchased largely based on their silver value.  The dollar will come in the US Mints original capsules but with no other packaging.
