The United States Mint certifies that this coin is a genuine 2000 Library of Congress Bimetallic Ten-Dollar Coin, minted and issued in accordance with legislation passed by Congress and signed by the President on October 19, 1998, as Public Law 105-268. This coin was minted by the Department of the Treasury, United States Mint to commemorate the bicentennial of the Library of Congress.
The obverse design of the 2000 Library of Congress Bimetallic $10 features the hand of Minerva raising the torch of learning over the dome of the Jefferson Building. The reverse design features the Logo of the Library of Congress encircled by a laurel wreath.
